On 6th April 2025, new legislation came into force entitling employees to between one and 12 weeks’ neonatal care leave (“NCL”) where their baby requires specialist neonatal care after birth, and employees who meet the applicable eligibility criteria to receive neonatal care pay (“NCP”).
